After the day
A single day has room for the exercise and very little else. The companion curriculum covers the material that the day can only mention in passing, in sixteen modules that each stand on their own, so take the one you need and leave the rest.
| If you want | Read |
|---|---|
| The ideas behind what you just did, and the arguments now being made against them | The multiverse and its critics, then Reading a specification curve again with your own dot in mind |
| Every model on the menu, output by output | The statistical methods behind the course |
| The graph work at a slower pace, and a graph for a question of your own | Causal graphs |
| To archive and version the report you wrote | Reproducibility repositories, then Git and GitHub |
| To find the data for a project of your own, or to obtain the data behind this one | Social science data sources |
| The measurement decisions that the menu opened | Weights, Missing answers and The items behind the scales |
| Data generated from known values, to test what a method recovers | Simulation as a method |
| The same claim at the individual level | The individual level |
The other formats of the course cover the same case at other lengths: the tools-focused day and the methods-focused day rebalance this one, the three-day format adds a tools day before it and a methods day after, the semester format spreads it across a term, and the self-study track is worked alone, at your own pace.
