After the term
By session 10 you hold one rendered report containing a stated estimand and its causal graph, a reproduction of a published result, a preregistration block that was completed before the analysis ran and holds one specification with the two sentences that justify it, and the result of running that specification, all of it in a repository that another person can clone and re-render. Sections 6 to 9 of The statistical methods behind the course cover the material that the term leaves for afterwards: multilevel models and where the degrees of freedom come from, survey weights, the same model stated as a posterior, and a bounded outcome fitted with beta regression. Nothing in the term depends on them, so they can wait until your own work needs them.
The one-day course is the format that has been delivered, and it forms session 9 of this one. The three-day format gives the tools a day and the methods a day either side of the workshop, and is the closest thing to this track for a group that cannot meet weekly. The self-study track orders the same material for someone working alone.
